Our Story

In 2008, NessAlla Kombucha was founded in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin, and we’ve been making craft brewed Kombucha using only organic and fair trade ingredients ever since.


Our brewery was one of the first craft kombucha producers in the nation.  We are entirely women-owned company from the beginning and are determined to make a difference for our communities and environment.

So many reasons!  We craft each batch from scratch without shortcuts, ensuring a kombucha full of probiotic benefits for the consumer.  We've spent years mastering the craft of kombucha brewing. Layered flavors and premium ingredients give you a harmonious blend of booch.

Natural ingredients

We use organic, fair ingredients and there’s never anything added post fermentation (no flavors, juices or fruits).

Eco-friendly

NessAlla is a 1% for the planet partner.  All our organic waste is composted and used on urban farms and 100% of our electricity is green power.

We craft each batch from scratch using our custom blended Rishi teas.

One with community

Each year, we donate at least 10% of what we make in product to raffles, charities, and fundraisers.

Craft Brewed Kombucha

NessAlla Kombucha is brewed fresh to order.

That means every bottle that reaches you is filled with fragrant, fizzy perfection.

We craft each batch from scratch using our custom blended Rishi teas. For our seasonal blends, we’ll add wild crafted herbs that can support your health and well being. The tea is brewed using reverse osmosis purified water and eco-friendly, on-demand boilers.


After we’ve achieved the perfect brew, we add organic, fair-trade sugar to the tea and combine it with one of our SCOBYs to ferment. After the tea has completed its transformation into kombucha, we bottle up the booch and ship it to you lickety-split.
