Hibiscus Cardamom Ginger
The Winter Solstice is upon us!! What does that mean? It means the days will begin to be longer again. I think, for me, that is the hardest part of the winter. Feeling like the day goes by so quickly. The lack of light, and then the feeling of “what the hell am I supposed to do now that it’s dark outside?” Have no fear! The light is coming back! I have a friend, Sheila Robertson, who is learning to embrace the winter with a Danish way of life called Hygee which is The art of building sanctuary and community, of inviting closeness and paying attention to what makes us feel open hearted and alive. One of my Favorite events in town is the Winter Solstice bonfire! What a great community event to celebrate the longest night of the year. This will be happening Tuesday the 22nd at sunset. There are always lots of kids, people, drums, warm drinks and often times floating lanterns. In years past there has also been awesome sledding on this beautiful night. See! Look at this awesome picture by Emily Mills!

This also means that it is time for the release of the brightest colored Kombucha we have. Hibiscus, Ginger, Cardamom.
It is so bright and tangy with a rich, warm and spicy flavor. It goes great with all of your holiday meals and makes an amazing cocktail mixer. You can try this awesome recipe right here by Jeanette Dainty.
This flavor should be on your store shelves this week or very, very soon! A big Happy Solstice to all of you and your family! May your days grow ever brighter!!
