Radlers were invented in Germany during the dawn of the 20th century. Cyclists were exploring the countryside on their new-fangled machines and needed a cool, refreshing drink to quench their thirst, but beer was too intoxicating to be conducive to long, rambling rides. An enterprising innkeeper added sparkling lemonade to lager, et voila, the Radler (german for cyclist) was born.
Our twist on the Radler substitutes sugary lemonade for delicious NessAlla Kombucha. It cuts down on the alcohol but not the flavor and is a nice, refreshing way to tone a high octane beer.
